    HIGH PERFORMANCE FOIL ACTION

    Achieving blistering speed, acceleration in combination with lightweight ergonomic features were the main design objectives for APACHE-F, maximising performance and minimising weight. We remain true to our mission statement to stay leaders in innovation and produce only high quality products with a high performance level. As all new ranges, this dedicated race foils sail range has also been designed in our new (in-house developed) sail design software programme.

    INNOVATION & DEVELOPMENT

    In order to achieve our vision of allowing any enthusiastic foiler to reach his or her full potential when out on the water, we are constantly developing, testing, tuning and refining to take each of our Race set-ups to the next level! APACHE-F will be under continuous development and innovation every time we do a new production build.

    APACHE FOIL SET-UP

    APACHE-F is available in 4 sizes at the moment (5.2, 6.2, 7.2 and 8.5) for a wide wind range, optimised for excellent foil action with the acceleration and a top speed exceeding that of a full-blooded race sail. High performance Monofilm in the window provides crystal clear vision and a crisp gust response. The relatively high foil tension of the APACHE-F is teamed up with the carbon/composite battens and 4 cambers producing draft stability levels that should really be experienced to be believed!

    SUPERIOR DRIVE & TOP SPEED

    Added lean seam shaping in the upper foil for super low drag and generous seam shaping in the lower foil for superior drive. The improved panel lay-out and extra shaping with a more powerful lower foil provide the drive and acceleration while the slippery upper profile minimises drag, delivering limitless top end speed in the APACHE-F series.

    LIGHT & SOFT ERGONOMIC FEATURES

    The sail has a light and soft feel. However, the reduced overall weight of the sail, thanks to the use of high tech materials in the upper luff sleeve, does not sacrifice the incredible stability whilst keeping the emphasis on enhancing acceleration and top speed. Reducing the sail’s overall weight and assisting control by reducing the swing weight were achieved by adding hi-tech 2mil tri-axial laminate in the leech and mast sleeve for a soft ergonomic feel in performance.

    LOOK & FEEL FOR A STABLE FLIGHT

    The APACHE-F has a noticeably more narrow top as compared to our regular Race range, looking quite tall. The higher aspect ratio in this sail has the potential to generate higher speed flow of air with less turbulence. Also the profile in APACHE-F is less deep than in the regular race sails and the pressure centre in the sail is situated higher for a stable flight. The wide luff sleeve with moderate luff locks the draft, increases stability and improves on the aerodynamic features in the sail. Clean panels with minimal seams further improve the aerodynamics. The foot of this dedicated foil sail had been noticeably extended to close the gap at the bottom.

    RDM VS SDM

    The smallest size comes standard with RDM cambers, but is SDM compatible. The larger sizes are supplied with SDM cams, but are RDM compatible. RDM masts will give the sail a softer, less direct feeling. SDM and RDM camber replacement sets are available separately.

    Can I use other mast brands in my TRIBAL sail?

    Yes, this is possible, but to ensure 100% performance we recommend the TRIBAL masts that the sails have been designed for. Go for constant curve masts with a little flex in the top and avoid hard top masts.

    There are two eyelets in my sail; which one should I use?

    In general, for all our sails the bottom eyelet will give you a little more control and you will be able to sail in higher wind or more demanding choppy conditions. Using the lower eyelet allows the sail to open up and breathe a little more. Taller persons might find the top eyelet better and smaller persons might like the bottom eyelet better. In the end it all comes down to personal preference.
