    Meet the HELIX! This 100% dedicated 5-batten wave weapon perfectly combines the three main design objectives we had in mind for this awesome wave sail: Control, Speed and Power! 

    When creating this sail in our new (in-house developed) sail design software programme, our major aim was to stay true to our mission statement to stay in the lead in innovation and produce high quality products with a high performance level. HELIX breathes CONTROL, POWER and SPEED!

    CONTROL

    The 5-batten European Wave set-up of HELIX guarantees maximum stability and maximum wind range, allowing you to fully commit your focus to riding the waves! You are in complete control!

    POWER

    Stability, durability and high performance were the most important design influences. HELIX is powerful, yet with a subtle soft touch not easy to forget! The ergonomic features of this sail are in perfect balance to allow you to drive down the wave with speed to burn. Engaging fully committed rail-to-rail turns becomes child’s play… Turn, smack, gouge, repeat!

    SPEED

    Special attention was paid to creating a fast but stable sail. Maintaining the level of speed and performance were again high on the designers’ list for this dedicated wave sail. HELIX is a unique extension of your style with its exceptional look and feel!

    DURABILITY, LIGHT WEIGHT & STABILITY

    Light as ever, with refined placement of materials and reduced swing weight next to beefed- up leech materials resulting in reduced stretch and improved durability. The twist in the sail has been optimised with a focus on a more neutral feeling during aerial manoeuvres, and the lighter top and bottom battens will not compromise the stability in the sail.

    SET-UP

    HELIX is available in 1 colour combination: Blue/Yellow. We have chosen a new window material for better vision, an extra wide and open X-Ply, adding the security of a 100% X-ply construction, a heavy-duty construction and a softer feel, but still offering clear vision and a crisp gust response.

    Can I use other mast brands in my TRIBAL sail?

    Yes, this is possible, but to ensure 100% performance we recommend the TRIBAL masts that the sails have been designed for. Go for constant curve masts with a little flex in the top and avoid hard top masts.

    There are two eyelets in my sail; which one should I use?

    In general, for all our sails the bottom eyelet will give you a little more control and you will be able to sail in higher wind or more demanding choppy conditions. Using the lower eyelet allows the sail to open up and breathe a little more. Taller persons might find the top eyelet better and smaller persons might like the bottom eyelet better. In the end it all comes down to personal preference.
